|
I am actually from Sweden, but have been living many years abroad, in various countries. Buenos Aires is my home since 2010. |

| How long have you been doing photography? |
|
Photography has been a passion ever since my father gave me a camera on my birthday when I turned 10 years old. Since then, I have invested a lot both in equipment and training. The last 3 years I have dedicated almost entirely to fashion photography on location and in studio. |

What is the style that make your photographs unique? |
|
My desire is to show beauty, and character. I always look for a different angle, and always seek dialogue with the model. I spend a lot of time and effort in perfectioning the photo during the session. Make up and hair are very important, and I always work with very qualified and professional artists. |

Yes, I do. However, I prefer to say that I do books together with a model or actor, since it is always teamwork to produce good results. |

Maybe the most entertaining and surprising was when I did a job for a model agency in Ukraine, in 2011. I was supposed to assist in evaluating a "few new faces" candidates in a casting session. What I did not know was that the model agency had spread the word that "the famous Argentinian photographer Thomas Henell" would be in the jury...and that night we had 212 girls appearing on stage! I expected 5-10....it was a whole night’s job to do all screening, and my scheduled studio work had to be postponed. But it was all worth it. It was a fantastic experience, and I am really to have had that opportunity. |
